In Memory of Jonathan Farrington

In memory of Jonathan Farrington

We have opened up a book of condolence for Jonathan. He meant so much to so many of us we felt it only fitting to have somewhere where we can share our thoughts, memories and reflections of the man himself.

Jonathan you were the "CR7" of sales improvement.

I'm going to miss not only talking about sales but also about football.

I keep thinking we are still going to talk, which tells me how big a loss this is.

Jonathan was a rare light in the world of sales, and in the world. I can only try to emulate his passion. Should I get close to having his impact on the world, and on the people he touched, I would be content. He leaves a void that can not be filled, but the effect he had on people, on Membrain and on me will continue to reverberate. I'm truly thankful for having met Jonathan, my life is better for it. You will be missed.

So sad to hear of the passing of Jonathan, I first met Jonathan many years ago just before he launched Top Sales.

Jonathan had foresight in the field of sales combined with his sense of humour, this is a sad loss not only to the world of sales but to everyone who knew and loved him

Jonathan was a friend and colleague that opened his heart to everyone. His wit, wisdom and kindness will be remembered by us all. He leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten. The sales profession and the universe has lost a good one. My condolences to his loved ones.

Jonathan never tired of working. His mind was constantly buzzing with new ideas. He was passionate about networking and connecting like-minded people, and he truly enjoyed helping others.

I pray that his legacy will go on and that someone will have the vision and courage to pick up the “flame” and carry it further…

He was one of a kind, beautiful and sensitive, my everything, and the heartbreak caused by his sudden passing will never heal…

Your beautiful, and often very touching words go straight to my heart and bring me comfort – Thank you…

Jonathan was a dear friend and colleague. He was creative, inspirational, kind, generous, understanding, humorous, and a trailblazer. He created Top Sales World as a place for everyone in sales to learn and grow. His Top Sales World awards showcased top sales talent. I will miss him terribly.

What a loss to the sales world. I had no voice till Jonathan helped me build one. I was inspired by the community he built and honored to be part of it. He did so much for women in sales we all owe him a debt of gratitude. Many thanks my friend and know you will be missed!

Jonathan Farrington was an icon of the selling fraternity who was an immensely positive influence for professionalism and growth. He was one of those icons who we expected to be around for ever continually holding us to account and helping us achieve.

His death was a great shock and I will miss his influence immensely.

My thoughts go to his wife, family and the Top Sales World team.

I will remember him fondly as a supporter of mine and somebody who gave without expecting anything in return. Long live the memory.

I admired Jonathan for years and was thrilled to have him guest on my Sales Game Changers Podcast this summer. I could have spoken to him for hours and learned so much. He is an industry leader whose legacy will continue well into the future. A lav hashalom. May he rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing (to all of us.)

Words do not come easy, the loss hurts.  The sales community lost a champion.  Few people had as much impact on bringing the global sales industry together.   Although we only met once in London the phone conversations with Jonathan were always personal and each one left me feeling he was my brother.

We lost a great one but Jonathan's legacy will live on for years to come.  We are all better off having known Jonathan and his wit, intellect, humor and kindness.

Much saddened to hear the news of Jonathan's passing, having worked with him for several years, remotely, regrettably, in the sales content space. Ever a gentleman, ever willing to find the funny, ever gracious, forward thinking, fair minded and perspicacious. As an ex-South African, it was particularly entertaining for me to correspond with him and share that hard-to-characterize brand of irreverent English humor. For example...sheep! He sent pictures of sheep in the garden, plus commentary thereon, since gardening was another topic of discussion in those marvelous, ebullient work emails. What a wonderful character. I raise a glass to you, Jonathan and will cut some of those pink roses for you every summer. You will be much missed.
