Five Key Takeaways for CCPA Compliance

Matt Heinz - 27 May 2020

By Winfield Salyards, Marketing Coordinator at Heinz Marketing
This year, California’s CCPA law came into effect, and with that in mind I was asked to put together a document of recommendations for making sure we stay ahead of CCPA, so we stay compliant. To be clear, I am not a lawyer, nor can I give any legal advice.  For that, always speak to your legal counsel. So, with that disclaimer out of the way, here are my 5 key takeaways for B2B CCPA compliance.
B2B businesses have one extra year before CCPA goes into full effect.
You read that right.  For us in the B2B space, we have extra time to set up all our compliance policies and systems. However, part of the reason this was put in place is to give time for the California AG’s office to clarify enforcement of CCPA on B2B.
Make sure to inspect all vendor and partner relationships.
