I believe strongly in regular 1:1 meetings between employees and managers. I have them weekly with my direct reports and have one monthly with every employee at Heinz Marketing.
Key to making those 1:1 meetings successful is an agenda. But traditionally that agenda has been built by one person or the other, which isn’t really an efficient way of using your time together.
I love what the team at Soapbox has built to make creating meeting agendas collaborative. Using their app (either separately or integrated into tools suck as Slack and email) you collectively built meeting agendas – for 1:1’s, team meetings, even broader discussions.
Structure, focus and prioritization makes meetings work better. Soapbox might be the catalyst you need to get there.
Definitely worth checking out.
