Matt’s App of the Week: Actual Printed News

This week, an anti-app.  I was intrigued and inspired this past week reading about a tech journalist’s two-month moratorium from online news.
The result?  He still got all the news he needed, felt far better informed, and spent far less time consuming and getting distracted by alerts and “breaking news”.  You can read more about his experience and lessons here.
On the same day I found this summary of a futurist who says we’ll be smarter and more informed if we consume less news, not more.
I get the daily Wall Street Journal and the Sunday Seattle Times in print at home.  I’m going to commit to reading in that format more often and more thoroughly.
