Lessons From a Crisis: 6 Essential Actions for Business Leaders

For most business leaders, navigating through a global health crisis which then turns into a global economic crisis is a skill that is rarely, if ever, used.
I was lucky enough to have a front row seat of the train wreck that was WAMU during the Great Recession of 2007-2009.  That crisis caused much anxiety for me and many of my coworkers.  It was an awful, scary time.  But it was also a great learning opportunity that now, a decade later, allows me to navigate the Coronavirus Crisis a little more confidently.  Here’s what I learned 10 years ago and how it applies today.
