President of RAIN Group, John Doerr works closely with a broad range of clients, drawing upon a global career in business leadership including senior executive management, sales and marketing, and product and service development.
Co-author of WSJ Best-seller Rainmaking Conversations (Wiley, 2011) and Insight Selling (Wiley, 2014), John was honored at the 2019 Stevie Awards, winning Gold for Sales Training Professional of the Year, for his outstanding accomplishments and client results.
Through in-house workshops and public presentations around the world, John has trained thousands of sellers, sales managers, leaders, and professionals to help them master the complex sale. He has worked with organizations such as Johnson & Johnson, London Business School, Egon Zehnder, Lee Hecht Harrison, Bright Horizons, and dozens of others to improve individual and organizational sales performance.

John holds an MBA, magna cum laude, from the Graduate School of Management at Boston University, and an AB, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Boston College. John is an avid runner and basketball player.
